This is the 2'nd picture ever taken of a breaching basking shark!! Fantastic. It was a cold and wet tuesday off the west coast of the Isle of Mull, Scotland. I was aboard one of Sea Life Surveys boats on a 2 hour Ecocruz (www.sealifesurveys.com). We were adrift just of Ardmore point enjoying a nice hand warming cup of coffee and someone screamed 'eagle!', we then had a brief but very close encounter from one of Mulls Sea Eagles which was then closely followed by this juvenile basking shark who proceeded to breach right off the boats stern!! An awesome day, this was truly an incredible sight and a rare but fortunate capture, I'm smiling to say the least!!
